10. Liverpool – John Henry – £1 billion
Brendan Rodgers could be facing a make or break season this year, particularly given that he has spent plenty of Henry’s money with little to show for it.
9. Leicester – Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha – £1.4 billion
Nigel Pearson’s sacking last year wouldn’t have done much for popularity for the board, but they are looking to ensure that Leicester aren’t going anywhere when it comes to the Premier League table.
8. Southampton – Katharina Liebherr – £1.9 billion
The Saints went through a difficult period of transition between owners, but despite losing key players along the way, they have replaced them well and Ronald Koeman seems to have brought a sense of calm to this situation with his recruiting.
7. Sunderland – Ellis Short – £2.4 billion
Another season of struggle will not go down well with Short, particularly after improving the squad over the years to a level at which he will feel they should be achieving much more.
6. Man United – The Glazer family – £3 billion
Never far away from criticism, the Glazers have pumped money into the club for big signings regularly. However, the debts have always been an issue, as are their intentions with the club.
