Richmond has delisted midfielder Matt Arnot ahead of the AFL’s second list lodgement on Thursday.
However, the Tigers intend to re-draft the 21-year-old for the 2015 season.
Richmond football manager Dan Richardson said although the decision was a tough one to make, it was necessary in terms of list management.
“The decision to delist Matt was a tough one to make, however it was a necessary list management decision to enable us to go into the upcoming draft period with the number of selections we want,” Richardson told the club’s website.
“We have committed to re-drafting Matt, as we believe he still has a contribution to make to the Richmond Football Club.”
“Matt will continue to train with the club during this time.”
Arnot was recruited at pick 55 in the 2011 national draft and has played eight senior games for the club.
