Richmond midfielder Daniel Jackson will be unavailable for the Tigers’ crunch game with Sydney after he was given a one-match ban for a late bump in the VFL.
The 2013 best and fairest winner was charged with rough conduct for an incident in the final quarter.
AFL.com.au report that a VFL spokesperson confirmed the Tigers had accepted the penalty, meaning Jackson would only become available for the senior side if they reach the AFL finals.
Damien Hardwick’s side goes into the game against the Swans on the back of an incredible eight-game winning streak, but they will have to defeat the top-of-the-table side to play in September.
Jackson has played only 10 matches this season after struggling with injuries.
In the matches the 28-year-old has played, he has averaged 22 disposals and 12 kicks.
