Manchester United attacker Robin van Persie will leave the club as he feels ‘betrayed’ by manager Louis van Gaal, according to reports.

Van Persie has been heavily linked with a move away from the Premier League giants, with Sky Sports reporting the 31-year-old is close to inking a deal with Turkish giants Fenerbahce.
The Dutchman failed to have a big impact at United following the arrival of Van Gaal, and The Sun reports the countrymen had a falling out towards the end of last season.
According to the newspaper, Van Gaal expects players to train as hard as they play and will not select players based on training intensity during the week before matches.
Colombian striker Radamel Falcao failed to train at the expected level at the beginning of the season, but replaced Van Persie in United’s starting XI when the former Atletico Madrid man changed his ways, the report suggests.
The relationship between the pair is now ‘broken beyond repair’ despite the fact the two seemed on excellent terms when Van Gaal lead Netherlands at the 2014 World Cup.
