Dutch striker Robin van Persie called time on an 11-year Premier League career this week when he transferred from Manchester United to Turkish side Fenerbache in a £4.7m deal.

Van Persie had been at Old Trafford for three seasons, during which he scored 48 goals in 86 Premier League appearances.
He moved to United following eight years with Arsenal. He scored 96 times in 194 league games for the Gunners.
Van Persie’s reputation among Arsenal fans fell through the floor when he left for United.
Despite no longer being a Gunners favourite, Van Persie thanked Arsenal fans in a Twitter post last night.
He also said thanks to United supporters.
Van Persie won the 2005 FA Cup with Arsenal and the 2012-13 Premier League with United.
