According to Metro, United accepted a £4.9m offer from Fenerbahce for the Dutch international with the player set to undergo a medical in the coming days.
The reports have been quashed by the Dutchman’s agent, who says the 31-year-old will report to Manchester United pre-season training on Monday.
“If Robin had found a new club, we would have announced it. And I’m in the Netherlands right now,” Kees Voss told Voetbal International [via Daily Express].
“All I can say that tomorrow (Monday) Robin will simply report at Manchester United for the first training session.”
Van Persie has one year remaining on his deal with the Red Devils and struggled to nail down a place in Louis van Gaal’s starting XI last season, leaving some to suggest the former Arsenal man was surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.
