Argentinian subject of reported bid from Spurs.
Roma are set for talks with the representatives of Erik Lamela in a bid to discuss his future amid interest from Tottenham.
The 21-year-old enjoyed a productive season at the Stadio Olimpico last year, scoring 15 goals as he continues to establish himself as one of the most exciting talents in Europe.
However, his impressive performances appear to have caught the eye of Tottenham who have reportedly made a €35m bid for the starlet.
It is unclear at this stage as to whether Roma are open to the idea of selling, but it is known that the club are looking to balance the books this summer after spending on the likes of Kevin Strootman and Gervinho.
Spurs are also said to be interested in striker Pablo Osvaldo, but following a meeting between Walter Sabatini and Tottenham officials on Thursday, it is clear that the north London club want to sign Lamela as a potential replacement for Gareth Bale.
The Welshman is looking to secure a move to Real Madrid this summer, and it is believed that he may be closing in on a deal with his current employers now looking at successors.
Lamela joined Roma in a deal worth €17m from River Plate back in 2011, and Football Italia report that Sky Sport Italia have claimed his representatives were set for a meeting with Roma officials on Friday.
It is understood that his future will become clearer following that meeting, but at this stage the Giallorossi would prefer to sell Osvaldo who has endured a negative backlash from supporters in recent weeks.
