Stamford Bridge side hoping that their owner’s connections will do the trick in attempts to sign winger this summer.
Chelsea want to sign £12 million rated Dynamo Kiev winger Andriy Yarmolenko, reports the Daily Mail.
The Ukrainian international has been one of the most enterprising players from his nation over the last two seasons, along with Liverpool target Yevhen Konoplyanka, and reports suggest that a move to London could appeal to him.
Moreover, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich’s well-known connections in Ukraine could help smoothen the dealings between the Blues and Kiev, who have also reportedly reduced their asking price for the winger from £20 million to around £12 million this summer.
Yarmolenko is known to have a good eye for goal and speedy dribbling skills, that had made him a transfer target for the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool in the past. The 24-year old has an impressive goal scoring record of 15 goals in 39 games for his country, and has also netted 54 times in 146 games for his club.
