Powerful attacker is currently on holiday in Spain.
Chelsea front man Romelu Lukaku has vowed to work as hard as he can this summer to get in the best shape possible so as to impress new Blues head coach Jose Mourinho, reports the Daily Mail.
The giant Belgium international may have been at Stamford Bridge for the past three seasons now, however, as yet the striker has still to hit the back of the net for the west London giants in his 12 appearances in all competitions for the club.
The 20-year-old did, though, shine in the previous campaign while spending a season-loan loan with fellow Premier League outfit West Bromwich Albion, and as a result the Uefa Europa League holders recalled the player from the Hawthorns at the end of that spell with a view to using the attacker at the Bridge going forward.
And now Lukaku has spoken about his desire to take his game to a new level with the Blues under the guidance of the ‘Special One’, although first the forward wants to get himself in peak physical fitness for the Portuguese.
“My last night of being lazy like this…” tweeted Lukaku while on holiday in Marbella on Wednesday evening.
“From 2morrow on my pre-season upcoming season will start. I will train every single part of my body to be twice as good as last year.
“Stronger, faster, bring more quality into my game just to be as deadly as the great masters of the game.
“It will be hard but when you work hard you play hard. Season 13-14 is the season when I stop playing like a boy and will play as a MAN!! #ambition.”
