Portuguese says transfer to the Ethiad is ‘not impossible’.
Former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo has refused to rule out the possibility of one day joining the Red Devils’ arch-rivals Manchester City.
The Portugal international was speaking ahead of the first leg of the Spanish giants’ eagerly anticipated round-of-16 clash with former club Manchester United in the Champions League at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday night.
“The future? I don’t know – only God know the future,” Ronaldo told the Sun.
“I’m not going to say it is impossible, because in football the impossible doesn’t exist. But I can say it would be very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very difficult to play at Manchester City. My heart’s in Manchester United, that’s why!

“I can’t say I’m never going back to Manchester United either – but I can say I’m good here in Madrid and I want to be here.”
Meanwhile, the playmaker also refuted suggestions that he is more concerned with how he looks on the pitch than with he produces in the field of play.
“I don’t stand in front of the mirror for 30 minutes. I promise the maximum is one minute, I swear. When you have hair like me it’s easy to style it!”
