If Cristiano Ronaldo wants out of Real Madrid, there will be a gigantic pile of money waiting for him at Old Trafford as Man United prepare a £66.5 million bid for the scoring ace.
According to the Metro, Man United is reportedly ready to make a major offer to bring Ronaldo back should the 225-goal megastar decide he can’t work with Real Madrid’s new manager. The Metro reported that newly-hired Real Madrid boss Rafa Benitez is more impressed with rising superstar Gareth Bale and is inclined to give Ronaldo’s regular role to Bale. This in turn has reportedly made the relationship between Ronaldo and Benitez strained to the point that Ronaldo is seriously reconsidering his future in Spain.
Ronaldo played six seasons for Man United, scoring just 18 goals in his first three seasons – he had a breakout year in 2006-07 with 17 league goals and 23 total goals and has been a 25+ goal scorer in every single season since then. Since joining Real Madrid in 2009, Ronaldo has scored 225 goals in 200 games.
Ronaldo owns the world record for multiple seasons with 50+ goals and has scored at least 50 goals in each of the last five seasons. He has also recorded a La Liga-record 31 hat tricks with Real Madrid.
