Cristiano Ronaldo set to make £71.5m return to Man Utd
It had been claimed (such as here in Goal) that the Portuguese superstar, who was last night knocked out of the Champions League by Juventus, had made the mammoth offering to those affected by the Nepal earthquake…
But while Save the Children appreciate Ronaldo’s continuous support, they’ve claimed the massive donation was, indeed, false.
“The latest information on the donation of Cristiano Ronaldo to the emergency response of Save the Children in Nepal is false,” according to Save the Children’s press release.” After the second earthquake, which has brought further devastation to the country, the NGO wants to thank Cristiano Ronaldo and other influential people support to publicize the situation in which children and families in Nepal are.”
Ronaldo has however used his voice to support the kids affected by the Nepal earthquake, encouraging his Twitter followers to donate via Save the Children.
