According to Manchester Evening News, Koukash is waiting to purchase the club’s licence and is believed to be willing to take Titans games to both the USA and Dubai to expand the club’s global profile.
“I have decided investing in an NRL club such as the Titans is the right way for me,” Koukash said.
“We will see what develops over the next few months but I have asked some people in Australia to look into it for me.”
The Titans have been plagued by financial and inner turmoil over the past few months, with the NRL believed to be waiting to stabilise the club’s future before selling to any private consortiums.
Koukash has mooted his interest in buying an NRL club for some time now, and it is reported that he came close to taking over the Brisbane Broncos last year.
He was also linked with takeover of the Newcastle Knights, however plans fell through.
