Agent says such speculation “hurts” Sami.
Sami Khedira’s agent Jorg Neubauer has dismissed any talk of his client leaving Real Madrid, despite recent speculation that the German was on his way to Chelsea or Manchester United.
Neubauer has labelled the rumours “annoying”, according to givemesport.com.
“Sami will play at Madrid in the upcoming season,” Neubauer said. “I don’t know who seems to think it’s fun to spread rumours about his future. It’s annoying and it hurts Sami.”
Khedira, 26, had been linked with Chelsea, Man United and French champions Paris Saint-German as recently as yesterday, with The Daily Express claiming the clubs were keen on the former Stuttgart player. The Express went on to say that Ancelotti would demand a fee of around £34.5 million before allowing Khedira to leave the Bernabau.
Khedira had previously distanced himself from a move away from Madrid, but the rumours kept on appearing.
“I have enjoyed working with Mourinho very much and rate him highly,” Khedira told German newspaper Welt Am Sonntag.
“Three years ago he handed me the chance to make the next step from Bundesliga to Real Madrid as a young international. But I am contracted to Real and now I am first of all looking forward to working with Carlo Ancelotti.”
