Samuel Eto’o has taken to Twitter to announce that he may not play against Croatia due to a knee injury.
Cameroon striker Samuel Eto’o has confirmed on Twitter that he’ll most likely miss his team’s Group A clash against Croatia on Wednesday due to a knee injury.
The 33-year-old has been unable to train since Cameroon’s narrow 1-0 loss to Mexico on Friday because of the knee complaint, which he has been struggling with since the end of the Premier League season.
Eto’o tweeted: “The doctors confirm! I would probably not be able to play the match vs Croatia on Wed June 18th due to an injury on my knee causing me pain.”
