The San Diego Chargers received a big blow to their offense when running back Danny Woodhead left Sunday’s game and was carted off the field.
This injury was revealed to be a broken fibula, which will require the Chargers to place on injured reserve and effectively end his 2014 season.
The Chargers are now stuck without both Woodhead and starting running back Ryan Mathews, who will be out for about a month.
Donald Brown will continue to receive the bulk of the carries, but Branden Oliver is in line for some touches as well.
Here is a tweet from the official NFL on ESPN Twitter account confirming Woodhead’s seas0n-ending injury.
