Miller is the 11th 49ers player to be arrested since the 2011 season ended, and the 49ers are losing key players after a disappointing 8-8 season, including running back Frank Gore and likely wide receiver Michael Crabtree.
Defensive end Ray McDonald was arrested for a crime relating to domestic violence before the 2014 season, and Miller’s arrest adds to an array of domestic assault situations in the NFL.
General manager Trent Baalke released a statement on Miller’s behalf, saying that the team is disappointing to hear of the reports.
Sports Illustrated announced Miller’s arrest on Twitter.
