San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree will be out for one or two weeks since he is nursing a sore hamstring.
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree missed the majority of the 2013 regular season with a broken foot, but he returned in Week 13 to give the offense a boost.
However, the 49ers will have to resume training camp without him for a week or two. Crabtree is reportedly dealing with a sore hamstring. Fortunately for the 49ers, the injury is not serious.
The 2009 first-round pick broke out in 2012 with 85 receptions, 1,105 yards and nine touchdowns. He also proved to be a game changer as quarterback Colin Kaepernick looked noticeably better toward the end of the season.
If Crabtree’s injury turns out to be worse than expected, the 49ers still have improved depth at receiver with Anquan Boldin and Stevie Johnson both being capable of starting.
Kaepernick will have a bigger challenge in developing further chemistry with Crabtree though since he will miss a big chunk of training camp.
