The San Francisco 49ers were unable to return to the playoffs in head coach Jim Harbaugh’s fourth and final season with the team, and running back Frank Gore is set to become a free agent.

Although it will be difficult to re-sign Gore due to wide receiver Michael Crabtree also being a free agent along with the uncertainty for the team’s future, owner Jed York insisted the 49ers will bring Gore back.
“I think we’ll figure out a way. That’s my feeling,” York said to the San Francisco Chronicle. Here is a tweet of York’s comments from 49ers writer Eric Branch.

Gore is 31 years old, but he has been a model of consistency for the 49ers as he rushed for at least 1,000 yards for the eighth time in the last nine seasons.
The 49ers may have luck in re-signing Gore since he is only seeking $4 million per season.
