Wide receiver Torrey Smith’s contract with the Baltimore Ravens has expired, and he is being pursued by multiple teams, with the San Francisco 49ers as the favorites to land him.

Smith’s receiving numbers went down in 2014, but he emerged as a dangerous red-zone target with 11 touchdown catches. He had previously caught 65 passes for 1,128 yards and four touchdowns in 2013.
Fellow free-agent wide receiver Michael Crabtree is also set to become a free agent, and Smith joining the 49ers would make Crabtree’s departure all but certain since Anquan Boldin is still around.
The 49ers offense will have questions to answer with head coach Jim Harbaugh leaving and quarterback Colin Kaepernick being a question mark though.
