The Baltimore Ravens dominated the San Francisco 49ers in a rematch with the help of their rushing attack.
In a Super Bowl rematch, the 49ers and Ravens faced each in their preseason openers. The Ravens came out on top once again as they beat the 49ers, 23-3.
Colin Kaepernick and Joe Flacco each played on just one offensive drive, but they both performed well. Kaepernick completed his only pass for 17 yards while Flacco threw 4-for-5 for 52 yards.
For the 49ers, Carlos Hyde looked like a starting-caliber running back as he rushed for 39 yards on five carries.
The Ravens’ rushing attack was deadly though. Ray Rice looked solid with 17 yards on only three carries as Bernard Pierce rushed for 37 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries. Rookie Lorenzo Taliaferro also looked impressive as he rushed for 71 yards on 13 carries.
At quarterback, Blaine Gabbert looked terrible for the 49ers as he threw 3-for-11 for 20 yards and an interception.
Tyrod Taylor was solid for the Ravens though, as he threw for 116 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed for 57 yards but threw an interception.
Kicker Justin Tucker looked fantastic, making three field goals, including a 55-yarder.
