The Earthquakes play Sporting Kansas City for the first time this season.
The San Jose Earthquakes and Sporting Kansas City will meet for the first time this season when the clubs face off on Sunday at Buck Shaw Stadium. The Earthquakes are looking to drag themselves back into the Western Conference playoff positions coming off the back of two straight losses, the most recent of which was a 2-0 loss to Vancouver Whitecaps FC last weekend. Sporting sit top of the Eastern Conference on 39 points, 1 point above New York Red Bulls after their 3-0 home win against the New England Revolution last weekend.
Sporting Kansas City will hope to have midfielder Graham Zusi available after he returned to full training for the first time since being injured in the MLS All-Star Game.
