The teenage defender is anticipating a memorable season at AAMI Park.
Melbourne Victory defender Scott Galloway says the club have set high expectations for the upcoming A-League season.
The 18-year-old defender is gearing up for his first full term at AAMI Park following his arrival at the start of 2013 and is reaping the benefits of a gruelling pre-season with one of Australia’s biggest clubs.
Galloway says the summer training schedule has been a valuable learning curve for him, but he is now ready for October’s big kick-off when Victory begin their season with a derby match against arch-rivals Melbourne Heart.
“It’s been really good for me to get some decent kilometres in to the legs and the boys are really showing good signs heading in to the season,” Galloway told Football Australia.
“I can’t wait for the season to start, and the first game is going to be huge as well, with the Melbourne Derby – we want to get off to a good start this time around.”
After missing out on the Grand Final last term, Galloway admits the players are driven to make it this time around and vanquish the disappointment of 2013/14.
“You never go into anything just to do well, you want to go in and win it and Melbourne Victory is certainly a club that can do that and should be doing that,” he added.
