After beating the Philadelphia Eagles 24-14 in a game that was not nearly as competitive as the final score indicated, the Seattle Seahawks got back to their trash-talking ways, first with CB Richard Sherman mocking the Eagles receiving corps, but then with DL Michael Bennett calling out QB Mark Sanchez.
“Tell the Philadelphia police to put an APB (All Points Bulletin) out. Sanchez is trying to impersonate a good quarterback,” Bennett said, per USA Today’s Jarrett Bell.
Sanchez, who had been averaging 300.5 yards per game since taking over as the starter, went 10-of-20 passing for 96 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. The Eagles had 139 total yards, the fewest under Kelly.
“No matter how fast they ran a play, we were just on it,” said linebacker Bobby Wagner, per ESPN.com. “We knew what plays were coming and it’s a pretty basic offense.”
