Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman will encounter New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady for the first time since the 2012 regular season as their teams face each other in Super Bowl 49.
Sherman established his reputation as a trash talker after the Seahawks defeated the Patriots because he tracked down the Patriots quarterback after he had told him to meet him after the game.
The Seahawks cornerback also taunted Brady on Twitter with a picture of the two and a caption that said “U mad bro?”
Judging by Sherman’s side of the story, Brady has done his share of trash talking against the Seahawks. “He was just pretty much saying we were nobodies and that we should come up to him after they got the win,” Sherman said to NFL.com.
The Seahawks have become the team they are known as today since that win as they made the playoffs in 2012 and won the Super Bowl the following season.
Brady will have a chance to boost his legacy by beating the No. 1 defense in the NFL, and he will likely be ready to talk some smack to Sherman if the Patriots win.
