The Seattle Seahawks lost at home, which is rare these days. The Dallas Cowboys beat them 30-23, and quarterback Russell Wilson threw a game-ending interception after being unable to generate much offense.
Wide receiver Doug Baldwin expressed his dismay for the Seahawks’ performance on offense. “We have to quit BS-ing ourselves. We’ve got to be real with ourselves. When we get in the meeting room, we’ve got to actually pay attention to things and not blow smoke up our tails that everything’s going to be all right,” the Seahawks receiver said to ESPN.
While Baldwin’s comments may be brutal, he is pointing to the fact that the Seahawks were only able to muster one offensive touchdown. Their other touchdown came on a blocked punt return, and kicker Steven Hauschka made three field goals.
The Cowboys also dominated the Seahawks in time of possession as they held the ball for 37 minutes compared to 23 for the Seahawks.
However, Baldwin denied that being a factor. “No, f— that. We had plenty of time to make plays. We’ve got too much talent to not be moving the f—ing ball,” Baldwin said.
Although the defending Super Bowl champions have beaten great teams such as the Denver Broncos and Green Bay Packers at home, they have shown that they can beat even if they are on their home field.
