It could be a good season for Moyes after all.
It’s the biggest game of Manchester United’s first season under David Moyes as they face Bayern Munich in the second-leg of their Champions League quarter-final.
The first-leg at Old Trafford last week finished 1-1 and much to everyone’s surprise the Red Devils stand a realistic chance of knocking out Pep Guardiola’s side.
Domestically the two teams vary wildly, with Bayern having won their second successive Bundesliga title this term with a record seven games to spare, whilst United have failed to defend their Premier League crown and are unlikely to even finish in the top four.
Yet as any football fan with a grasp of a cliche will tell you, anything can happen in a cup competition and as such Moyes’ men could eliminate the Germans and start to salvage what has been a disappointing campaign to date.
