Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud continues to take a lot of heat from Gunners fans, with the Frenchman struggling to hit the back of the net in the opening stages of the season.
However, The Metro reports that there is a statistic that shows that his criticism may not be justified.
Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney, meanwhile, has continued to draw a high amount of praise for his prolific career and record-breaking 50th international goal last week.
However, statistics indicate that Giroud has been the superior player since signing with Arsenal in 2012.
Giroud has scored a total of 58 goals over the last three seasons while Rooney has notched 49.
While it would be a stretch to say that Giroud is better than Rooney, the French international has proven to be an overall prolific scorer.
