According to reports from News Corp Australia, seventeen Cronulla Sharks players past and present have received show cause notices over the club’s 2011 supplements program.
News Corp are reporting that the players met with NRL and ASADA at a meeting in Sydney on Wednesday, following a briefing from the Sharks players’ legal representatives.
The players were reportedly handed show cause notices, signalling ASADA’s intention to charge the players with doping offences.
Potential bans are varied in severity and range between six months and two years.
Reports suggest the players have 10 days in which to respond.
