Lazio midfielder Lucas Biglia appears destined to leave Italy, as he is interesting in possibly transferring to Manchester United.
The Daily Star reported on Biglia’s interest in Man United, and he is also said to be considering Real Madrid.
Biglia’s desire to go to another club may be enough for the Italian club to sell him, despite his contract not being set to expire until 2018.
Biglia was a key player for Lazio last season, as he made 27 starts and scored three goals.
His release clause is set at £17.7m, which may be relatively expensive for a team – like United – that has already invested heavily in upgrading their midfield.
United pulled off a splash double-signing earlier in the summer by acquiring Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger.
They are also on the verge of signing Barcelona star Pedro, who is expected to join a deal in the range of £22m and £24m.
