The legendary manager thinks his successor should be given time…
Sir Alex Ferguson has backed Manchester United boss David Moyes, despite the new manager’s terrible start to the season, Sky Sports reports.
The Red Devils currently sit in seventh place in the table, after countless inconsistent performances both at home and away.
Ferguson though, who left at the end of last season after winning his 13th Premier League title, believes his former side will eventually come good under Moyes.
“They (United) will be all right,” said Ferguson, speaking at a party in Los Angeles ahead of the Oscars.
“It’s early days and there have been a lot of changes. He (Moyes) needs time. I was there for 27 years, so with a new manager, it takes time. But they’ll be okay.”
United lost embarrassingly away to Olympiakos in the Champions league in their last fixture, and will be desperate to get back on winning ways against West Brom in the next domestic fixture, as anything except a win will practically rule them out of contention for a top four finish.
