4. The Cincinnati Bengals will never win a Super Bowl with Andy Dalton and Marvin Lewis
The Bengals were eliminated from the playoffs in the first round for the fourth consecutive time, and their quarterback and head coach have both failed to win a playoff game in their careers. Dalton only threw for 116 yards against a weak Indianapolis Colts defense as the Bengals offense was held to 10 points.
Lewis’ playoff record fell to 0-6, and the Bengals’ playoff drought extended to 23 years. Although injuries could be used an excuse for this season, it still doesn’t excuse the lack of fight that the Bengals showed against the Colts and their previous playoff games with Dalton as their signal caller. Dalton has had a star wide receiver in A.J. Green and one of the top defenses in the league throughout his career, so a poor playoff resume puts his future into question. Paying Dalton $115 million was definitely not a wise move for the Bengals.
