Emmanuel Adebayor (Tottenham Hotspur to Aston Villa)
This one has been in the pipeline since before Christian Benteke’s transfer to Liverpool earlier this month, but, as there often is with Adebayor, there appears to have been a complication along the way.
The Tottenham striker was at Villa’s training ground for a medical on Wednesday, and yet the prospective season-long loan has not been confirmed. Nevertheless, Villa fans will hope to get this one over the line soon, or not.
