Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was in good spirits on Tuesday night after watching his side secure a 3-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb in their must-win Champions League clash.
So much so, that he joked about his lack of spending by telling reporters that they would know he in fact enjoys spending money when’s he out with friends and family.

It comes after the Gunners boss did little business in the summer transfer window, with Petr Cech his only notable signing despite arguably requiring more depth and quality in certain positions in his squad.
Following the injury suffered by midfielder Francis Coquelin, which is expected to keep him sidelined for up to three months, Wenger did concede that he will do “what is needed” in the January transfer window to cope with his absence, as reported by BBC Sport.
However, many still doubt his intention to spend significant money, as the French tactician has always insisted that he has great faith in the players already at his disposal and continues to give his alternatives an opportunity to impress rather than look to buy to cover injuries.
Aside from Coquelin, the likes of Theo Walcott, Aaron Ramsey, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Jack Wilshere have all struggled with issues this season, and that has certainly tested the depth in the current Arsenal squad.
While they kept their Champions League hopes alive on Tuesday night which now sets up a make-or-break encounter with Olympiakos next month to determine whether or not they advance to the knockout stages, they return to domestic action this weekend as they look to bounce back from their loss to West Bromwich Albion last time out.
With Wenger seemingly in a good mood, it remains to be seen whether or not Arsenal supporters get their wish and see some movement in January, as the Frenchman may well enjoy spending some more if the right deal presents itself.
