The 26-year-old joined the Swiss Super League club on Monday.
Socceroos midfielder Dario Vidosic made a winning start to life at FC Sion following his surprise move from Adelaide United.
The Swiss Super League side sneaked a 1-0 victory, their first of the season, at Aarau on Saturday with Léo Itaperuna bagging the decisive goal after just 14 minutes to lift them away from the foot of the table following a disappointing start to the season.
You could Vidosic, wearing the no. 23 jersey, was a lucky charm for his new employers with a competent display, before being substituted in the 93rd minute and replaced by Vincent Rufli as manager Michel Decastel ran down the clock.
Earlier in the day former club Adelaide wished the 26-year-old well on his Sion bow and put the onus on him to score – something he did 15 times in two-years as a Red.
Good luck to former Red @dvidosic23 in his first outing for @FCSion! #tippingagoalondebut
