Inter Milan have confirmed that they are not interested in the experienced Frenchman, who is settled with his wife in London.
“There’s no connection with my trips and the same is for Dzeko,” said Paulo Ausilio, Inter’s Director.
“There is the opportunity to travel when we don’t have matches during the week. It’s an opportunity to develop contacts by being around other people in the industry,” he added.
The Mail also reports that an anonymous source close to the Italian club hinted that Arsenal’s london rivals were sniffing around the 31-year-old fullback.
“The impression that came out of the talks was that Sagna and his wife are settled in London and want to stay there,” the source said.
“He is hoping Arsenal come up with an acceptable offer, but there is interest from other Premier League clubs. We are hearing Chelsea and Tottenham.”
Gunners fans will be hoping Sagna stays at the Emirates anyway, but they’ll be especially angry should he agree to join on of the club’s fiercest rivals.
Both Chelsea and Tottenham already have good quality right-backs in Branislav Ivanovic and Kyle Walker respectively, so the skeptic in us reckon the reports could be a little off the mark.
