After a close opening period, Souths broke the 2-2 deadlock thanks to Dylan Walker.
The Rabbitohs went into half-time in front 10-2.
In the second half they pushed forward ahead through forward John Sutton and then a try to fullback Greg Inglis. Brisbane was giving away too many penalties and could not hold onto the ball.
The Broncos managed to hit back with a strong run and finish from Matt Gillett.
But the Rabbitohs were in control. They finished the match off, and continued their impressive beginning to 2015, with tries to Luke Keary and Joel Reddy.
In total Souths crossed for five tries while Brisbane could only manage one.
Adam Reynolds was perfect with the boot, nailing five conversions and three penalties.
It was a disappointing performance from Wayne Bennett’s men but the Rabbitohs were just too strong.
They have already shown they are the team to beat in 2015.
