South Sydney Rabbitohs star full-back Greg Inglis has declared himself fit for Friday night’s NRL preliminary final against the Sydney Roosters.
Inglis went down with a hip injury in the Rabbitohs’ 22-18 loss to the Roosters in round 26, but says the week off has left him refreshed both physically and mentally.
“Having the week off keeps you physically fresh and mentally freshens you up too,” Inglis said.
“So it has been a blessing in disguise.
“I’m feeling fresh and I know everybody around here (at Souths) is feeling pretty relaxed and we will be ready to go on Friday night.
“The hip is fine. The body is fine.”
The Rabbitohs will be gunning for their first Grand Final appearance since 1971 when they take on last year’s premiers at ANZ Stadium on Friday night.
