Arsenal have been put on alert once more as Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin again tells of his desire to play for a ‘big club.’

Schneiderlin was heavily linked with the Gunners over the summer as manager Arsene Wenger searched for a defensive midfielder, but in the end no move materialised.
This is despite the fact the France international made it very clear he wanted to leave St Mary’s after watching teammates Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and Dejan Lovren all depart for Liverpool, Manchester United sign Luke Shaw and Calum Chambers head to the Emirates Stadium.
With boss Mauricio Pochettino also jumping ship to take charge at Tottenham Hotspur many thought the Saints would struggle, but Schneiderlin was convinced to stay and currently that is working in his favour.
Under the guidance of Ronald Koeman the south coast side are second in the Premier League at present and looking strong, but the 25-year-old has once again reiterated that he wants to play for a so-called ‘big club’.
“A career passes quickly and I want to play for a big club. Today I am at Southampton, we are second in the Premier League, it’s going well,” Schneiderlin told L’Equipe.
“We’ll see at the end of the season if [a transfer] will happen. If we have qualified for the Champions League, I will make the choice.”
