Experienced wide man is definitely now departing his club.
Manchester City have been put on alert by the news that coveted Sevilla midfield player Jesus Navas has announced that he will be leaving the Spanish club this summer, says L’Equipe.
The skilful Spain international has been at Sevilla for his entire career, making his debut for the Liga outfit back in 2003, and in the intervening ten-year period the 27-year-old has been one of the mainstays of their team.
The wide man has appeared in 280 league matches for the club during that time, managing to register an impressive 23 goals and 60 assists, while in total Navas has recorded 34 strikes and 77 assists in just 388 contests in all competitions.
And it is that kind of consistency that has also resulted in the winger being capped on 23 occasions by the current world and European champions since making his international debut four years ago, scoring two goals in the process.
Now it is expected that Navas will join big-spending City for a fee believed to be in the region of £30 million, with his employers said to be desperate for funds in order to help pay off their mounting debts.
