Anyone who has played golf will tell you the difference that quality equipment can make to your game, and Adidas TaylorMade Golf’s new SLDR driver promises to revolutionise the sport.
“Without a doubt, this is the longest driver we have ever created,” said TaylorMade’s Chief Technical Officer Benoit Vincent.
It is thanks to the profoundly impressive mechanics of the SLDR that the player’s golf game can be improved in such a straightforward fashion.
Thanks to TaylorMade’s Loft-sleeve Technology, golfers can adjust the loft of their drive by 1.5 degrees either way.
It is the result of ten years of evolution of the company’s movable weight driver, changing the head’s CG location to guide ball flight.
The SLDR’s sliding weight system makes it simple to launch the ball high into the air at great speed, which naturally means it can be sent over an enormous distance in a wonderfully smooth trajectory.
The combination of immense velocity with low ball spin to reduce drag results in huge yardage, while the addition of simple loft adjustment helps with a high launch.
Plenty of tour pros have seen what the SLDR driver can do, including Dustin Johnson, Stewart Cink, Darren Clarke, Carl Pettersson, Johnson Wagner, Lucas Glover, Scott Verplank, Blake Adams and Justin Leonard.
Since its introduction in July 2013, this innovative club has racked up 9 worldwide wins. That makes the SLDR the number one driver on the PGA Tour today.
