Spurs have agreed to meet Soldado’s buy-out-clause…
Tottenham have agreed to pay the €30m buy-out-clause for Valencia’s Spanish striker Roberto Soldado, it is being widely reported.
Valencia had previously promised that they would only sell the 24-goal forward if Spurs met his release clause, which the London club has now offered.
All that’s left now to finalise a deal is for Soldado to agree personal terms and pass a medical at White Harte Lane.
Antonio Sese, a director at Valencia has confirmed the news via his Twitter account. The tweet roughly translates as:
“They tell me that shortly Roberto Soldado will be officially transferred. They’re paying the (buy out) clause. Great management decision.”
Spanish media say Spurs have agreed to sign Roberto Soldado for £25.9m #thfc http://t.co/G87gkjSzIh
