North Londoners have been tracking Internacional forward for some time.
Tottenham Hotspur have been hit with the news that long-term transfer target Leandro Damiao will reject their overtures at the end of this season and instead opt to move to Serie A, say the Daily Star.

The North London club have been tracking the Internacional forward for some time now, however, as yet manager Spurs Andre Villas-Boas has been unable to persuade the Brazil international to move to White Hart Lane.
And now the 23-year-old’s agent has confirmed that Damiao will make a move to Italy rather than the Premier League this summer, with both champions Juvenus and Napoli reportedly fighting over the player’s signature.
“The Italian championship is a goal for Damiao,” said the player’s agent, Vinicius Prates.
“He is focused on succeeding in Brazil but anything can happen in June, although we have no agreement with European teams.”
Prates went on to say that “it would be a pleasure” if his client made the move to Turin, before going on to confirm that Spurs had had a last-minute £17 million deadline-day bid rejected for Damiao by Internacional last month.
“Few European clubs have the ability to hire [Damiao] right now,” said Prates.
