Belgian star has several suitors queuing up for him according to agent.
Tottenham centre-back Jan Vertonghen is evaluating offers from top European clubs including Barcelona, reports the London Evening Standard.
His agent dropped a hint that the 27-year old is wanted by several top sides across Europe, but insisted that Vertonghen has not taken a call about his Spurs future yet.
Vertonghen had a torrid time last season after Andre Villas-Boas was sacked, and had issues with new Manager Tim Sherwood, which severed his relations with the club towards the end of last season.
While it almost seemed certain that he would leave the club this summer, Spurs’ appointment of a successful young manager in Mauricio Pochettino seems to have calmed things down, and Vertonghen is once again mulling over whether or not to leave White Hart Lane.
According to his agent, Barcelona could be one of the suitors for the former Ajax man as he said, “Several teams are interested in Jan. I cannot confirm or deny whether Barcelona are one of them. Tottenham is not a small club. It’s too soon to give them an answer. Several clubs have registered their interest in Jan. We’ll see.”
Vertonghen moved to Spurs in 2012, and has scored 8 goals for them in 82 games so far.
