The Sydney Morning Herald report that there is speculation that Nielsen may have been involved in an incident with a rival NRL player over the weekend.
It comes just days after it was revealed Bulldogs recruit Jakob Loko and Manly winger Jorge Taufua were involved in a brawl in the Sydney CBD on Saturday.
St George confirmed that the NRL Integrity Unit had been informed of the incident.
Nielsen joined the Dragons on a two-year deal from the New Zealand Warriors at the end of the 2014 season.
He debuted against for the Dragons on the weekend during the side’s 12-4 opening round loss to the Melbourne Storm earlier this month.
