St. Kilda midfielder Lenny Hayes is today set to announce his retirement from AFL football at season’s end.
News Corp are reporting that the St. Kilda Football Club have called a press conference at its Seaford headquarters for late Tuesday morning where Hayes is expected to make an announcement on his playing future.
Hayes reportedly informed his players of the decision on Tuesday morning during a player meeting at the Linen House Centre.
The 34-year-old has played 291 games for the Saints, placing him fifth on the club’s all-time list for appearances.
