Webster will miss the rest of the season after breaking his foot against Richmond on Saturday.
St. Kilda’s season has gone from bad to worse, with in-form defender Jimmy Webster ruled out of the rest of the AFL season.
Webster broke his foot during the third quarter of the Saints’ 44-point loss to Richmond on Saturday.
The 21-year-old has averaged 15 disposals this season, and will be a huge loss for Alan Richardson’s side as fellow defender Jarryn Geary will also miss the remainder of the season with a broken arm.
Saints physio Andrew Wallis confirmed the extent of Webster’s injury to the club’s website.
“He’s going to be managed in a cast and won’t be running for about 12 weeks,” Wallis said.
“He is out for this year.”
In other injury news for the Saints, Lenny Hayes, Arryn Siposs, Spencer White and Sam Fisher will all undergo tests this week to determine their fitness for the next round of games, while Sam Fisher is a month away from a return to action.
The bottom of the ladder Saints take on 14th placed Carlton at Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
