St Kilda have locked-in emerging ruckman Billy Longer until the end of the 2016 AFL season.
The 21-year-old played 16 games for the Saints in 2014 after being traded from the Brisbane Lions during the 2013 trade period.
The incredibly speedy ruckman says he is enjoying his time at the Saints and is looking to help move the club back up the ladder.
“I am really enjoying St Kilda at the moment,” Longer told the club’s website.
“There is a good bunch of young boys at the club and we are all really striving to improve and absorb as much information as we can off the coaches.
“It’s a good feeling at the moment.”
Saints coach Alan Richardson was full of praise for Longer, saying he had a very bright future in the game.
“Billy has the potential to be one of the best big men in the game,” Richardson said.
“He has a terrific vertical leap and aggression in the contest. He’s capable of winning the ball as a forward as well.”
Longer becomes the 17th player to re-sign with the Saints during the off-season.
