The St. Louis Rams reached an agreement with defensive end Robert Quinn to sign him to a contract extension for four years worth $66.25 million.
$41.25 million of this money will be guaranteed. Although this is not as much money as Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt is making on his new extension, the Rams showed that they regard Quinn as one of the best defensive ends in the NFL and a key piece to their defense.
The Pro Bowl defensive end led the NFL in sacks last season with 19, and his extension will keep Quinn in St. Louis until 2019.
Here is a tweet from ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter confirming the news.
