Joe Ingles will join Australian teammate Dante Exum at the Utah Jazz, just days after being cut by the Los Angeles Clippers.
Ingles replaces Brisbane-born forward Brock Motum who was cut by the Jazz on the eve of the regular season.
The Jazz, who were in search for a small forward, signed Ingles alongside Toronto Raptors forward/guard Jordan Hamilton.
Ingles’ new contract means Australia will have seven players in the NBA this season, with he and Exum at Utah, Andrew Bogut at the Golden State Warriors, Patty Mills and Aron Baynes at San Antonio, Matthew Dellavedova at Cleveland and Cam Bairstow at Chicago.
The 2014/15 NBA season begins on Wednesday, with Utah’s first game coming at home against the Houston Rockets on Thursday.
